Yes. We love doing starting driving lessons in Swords from your work or school. It is so practical to drive the routes you will drive most frequently with your sponsor, at least at the early stages. We frequently meet people near Pavilions shopping centre. Longlands is so handy for this. We have met customers at Airside, Applewood, Swords Business Campus and Park. We can meet at the Airport, although that is a bit trickier. Give us a call and let us know where suits you.

Starting near your school works well too. Sometimes you will want to give your school friends a head start before you start driving or you could be happy to show off your good driving. In conjunction with another group we have done driving and road safety in Colaiste Choilm, with the transition years. This is something we do with lots of schools all over Dublin. We would like to do this in Fingal and Finian’s, Loreto and Swords CC too. For now we will continue giving lessons to students one at a time.

As a learner, where can I drive?

We can start lessons in Swords and all the surrounding ares. But it is great to get you driving to Malahide, Donabate, etc. Why are you learning to drive? Is it to get to work or to visit friends or family. It simply makes sense to take a drive on these roads for practicality and for variety. It is not fair on holding you back by restricting you to driving around the same block for hour after hour. Start on the easy back roads or in the estates. Progress to driving the by-pass, through the roundabouts. You cannot drive on motorways until you get your full licence. The N2 towards Ashbourne is a good road for preparing for this.
